In about a half hour, the Minnesota Vikings will wrap up the 2024 NFL preseason when they travel to face the Philadelphia Eagles. Here’s everything you need to know to be ready for tonight’s contest.
Date and time: Saturday, August 24, 2024, 12:00 p.m. Central Time
Location: Lincoln Financial Field, Philadelphia, Pennsylvania
Television coverage: Local subsidiaries listed here
Radio reporting: Vikings Radio NetworkSiriusXM channel 384, SiriusXM app channel 820
line: It’s a warm-up game. Don’t bet on warm-up games.
Chris’ prediction: I assume that I will not make a prediction for a warm-up game.
Three keys
1) No significant injuries – Many of the regular players and key substitutes will not be near the pitch today, but as always we just want everyone to arrive safe and sound.
2) Filmed enough? – Last week, Lewis Cine was everywhere, making tackles and intercepting passes and actually looking like a first-round NFL Draft pick. Will he get the same playing time today? Did he do enough to earn a spot on the 53-man roster? I think we’ll get an answer to that today.
3) Last chance to impress – With about 72 hours to go from today’s game, the Vikings will have to cut their roster from the current 91 players to 53. For many players, this is the last chance to make an impression, including some players who have only been on the team for a few days. Who will come out on top?

That should be all the information you need to get ready for tonight’s preseason contest, folks. Like last week, we’ll have a separate open thread for the second half and a recap when the game is complete.
Have fun playing, everyone!
