MinaLima has issued a statement saying Harry Potter Fans know that they will not see any more illustrated Harry Potter books because they were not commissioned to do so.

The statement, signed by founders Miraphora Mina and Eduardo Lima and the MinaLima team, was published on MinaLima’s social media accounts, stating that many fans have been asking when the illustrated version of Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire will be published.

At the time of writing, this post on Instagram has over 7,000 comments, one of which is from MinaLima, who thanks her followers for the comments and support.

We were always open to Scholastic commissioning us to illustrate a single book, but this was not our desired outcome.

This magical community is very important to us, so we wanted to let you know as soon as possible. We know you understand that decisions for big creative projects can take a long time.

We are still very proud of the MinaLima editions of the first three Harry Potter books and hope you will continue to appreciate them too. We hope you continue to enjoy our distinctive graphic design style in our ever-growing MinaLima Classics edition.

According to the Rowling Library, Scholastic issued a statement, which the Rowling Library posted on its Instagram account, but this has not been confirmed by Scholastic.

What is MinaLima’s last illustrated Harry Potter Book, Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkabanwas released in October 2023.
