The Desert Town Hall series returns to the Coachella Valley in January. Announced speakers include conservative political commentator Megyn Kelly and former Canadian Prime Minister Stephen Harper.

The 33-year-old lecture series is hosted by HN and the Frances C. Berger Foundation at the Renaissance Esmeralda Resort & Spa in Indian Wells and typically draws nearly 2,000 attendees. Many high-profile politicians and pundits, often from the conservative persuasion, have spoken at the event over the years, including Mitt Romney, Bill O’Reilly and Newt Gingrich.

“We are once again proud to present an exceptional group of timely, thought-provoking and inspirational speakers,” said Scott Bailey, president of Desert Forum Inc., which hosts the event, in a prepared statement. “This year’s series promises to inspire and engage audiences with a wide range of topics and perspectives.”

The first speaker in the 2025 series is Dan Buettner, a best-selling author whose work focuses on the Blue Zones – regions of the world where people live longer, healthier lives. His talk is scheduled for January 16 and will focus on how to live longer, more fulfilling lives.

The second speaker will be former Canadian Prime Minister Stephen Harper, who served from 2006 to 2015. Harper, a member of the Conservative Party who steered the country through the Great Recession, will offer “an insider’s view” of global politics and economic strategies, according to the announcement. His talk will take place on February 7.

Third in the series is best-selling author and journalist Mitch Albom, whose books include Tuesdays with Morrie and The Five People You Meet in Heaven. A former sports columnist, Albom also appeared frequently on ESPN’s The Sports Reporters. His talk, scheduled for March 4, will focus on his journey as a writer and the life lessons he has learned throughout his career.

The final speaker is Megyn Kelly, a well-known conservative commentator and host of “The Megyn Kelly Show,” which used to air on Fox News. Her show now airs daily on SiriusXM and has been converted into a podcast. Kelly’s talk on March 31 will focus on her experiences in the media industry and the changing landscape of journalism.

No individual tickets will be sold for the event. Tickets for all four events start at $425 per person. For more information, visit www.DesertTownHall.org.
