The couple were spotted on a date night in Los Angeles over the weekend

Megan Fox and Machine Gun Kelly spent a “cozy” evening together over the weekend.

The couple were spotted at a Puppet Up! improv comedy show in Los Angeles and a source told PEOPLE that it “looked like date night.”

Fox, 37, and Kelly, 33, “sat in the back throughout the show and were comfortable,” the source says of their outing.

The date night comes just days after a source close to the couple told PEOPLE the two had “yet another big fight” and were working through their issues.

“It’s always the same,” the insider said. “They have serious trust issues in the relationship. It’s been tough, but they’re still trying to overcome it.”

Another source who knows the couple said at the time: “The two are still sometimes together, sometimes separated.”

While Fox and Kelly have had some ups and downs recently — including Fox’s apparent hint of a split in February — the actress eagerly sang her fiancé’s praises while promoting her book of poetry. Pretty boys are poisonous, which was released last month.

Fox thanked Kelly (whose real name is Colson Baker) for her help in creating the book, in which she describes some of the trauma she experienced in past relationships and also reveals some previously unknown details about their relationship.

“I think it helps that he’s an artist himself and realizes that through songwriting he has this outlet where he can experience his catharsis – where he can express his pain in this way,” she told Drew Barrymore of Kelly last month.

“As an actor, you don’t really have that because I’m reading someone else’s dialogue. So I can’t really go to work and pour my experiences and my pain into my art,” Fox continued. “So he realized I needed an outlet for that, and if you love someone, you’re not going to deny them their right to alleviate their suffering.”

She added of Kelly’s support: “And I think that’s what it’s all about when you care about someone and want to help them heal their wounds.”

Within the poetry collection Transformers The star described a miscarriage and later clarified that she was referring to a miscarriage she and Kelly had experienced privately.

“I’ve never experienced anything like this in my life. I have three children, so it was very difficult for both of us and it sent us on a very wild journey together and separately… trying to find our way and ask, ‘What does this mean?’ and ‘Why did this happen?'” Fox said on Good morning, America.

The couple also went out together last month – Fox sporting the fiery red bob she wore to launch her poetry book – for a stylish date as they GQ Men of the Year Party in Los Angeles.

They held hands as they entered the star-studded event honoring the outlet’s 2023 winners Jacob Elordi, Travis Scott, Tom Ford and Kim Kardashian.
