Meet the newest Good Morning Iowa host Joseph Holloway

Local 5 started the week with a new “Good Morning Iowa” anchor and executive producer.

Joseph Holloway comes to Local 5 We are Iowa after experience as a reporter and anchor in Arkansas, Oklahoma and North Carolina.

Who is Joseph Holloway?

Holloway has more than a decade of experience in local news and has worked as a freelance sports journalist for ESPN, CBS and Cox Sports Television.

Holloway is passionate about keeping the community informed, according to a press release.

“People have a right to know what’s going on in their neighborhoods,” Hollaway said in the press release. “It’s a matter close to my heart to make sure they know the full story so they can make their own decisions.”

Holloway lives in Carlisle with his wife, Kylee, and their dogs, Georgia and Magnolia, the press release said. His hobbies include sports, watching sports, playing tennis and cheering on the Arkansas Razorbacks.

When was Joseph Holloway’s first day at Good Morning Iowa?

Holloway began behind the anchor desk of “Good Morning Iowa” on Monday, sharing the latest news with the people of central Iowa from 5 a.m. to 7 a.m.

He joins co-host Chenue Her, who announced his departure from the network on August 30. Holloway replaces host Samantha Mesa, who left the network in May.
