Step aside, BySoftware – there’s a new mecha game in town, aside from Armored Core 6, and it’s already proving to be a hit.
After the three-day open beta phase, Mecha Break attracted almost 3 million players and was added to the Steam wishlist by an incredible 1 million enthusiastic fans. With an extensive Character Creatorvarious mechs, explosive combat and breathtaking, fast-paced online multiplayer gameplay – it’s no wonder that the upcoming sci-fi gem is so popular even before its release.
In a post celebrating the success of the Open Beat, Mecha Break developer Amazing Seasun Games reveals the impressive player statistics: “We are happy to announce that we already have over 1 million wishlists on Steam and almost 2.8 million registered worldwide!” The studio thanks fans for their helpful feedback and promises “even better content and gaming experiences in the future.”

The comments show what players think of Mecha Break so far. Many express how excited they are for the full game. Others practically beg for a little more time in the game: “Please. I need more. I’m already addicted to the mecha battles in this game.” Overall, it seems really hard to find criticism or negative reactions in people’s replies to the studio’s celebratory post.
There’s no telling if there will be another beta before the final release date, which has yet to be announced, but given the success of the open testing phase and fan feedback, hopefully one will surface soon, with Mecha Break’s release following later. These player numbers are nothing to sneeze at – and that’s after an open beta has only been available for a few days.
Check out some of these other upcoming PC games something to look forward to.
