12:41 pm: A 6-yard loss to Georgia Tech running back Jamal Haynes on first down hampered a potential Yellow Jackets advance. Haynes King gained six yards on third down and the GT punted the ball for the first time. FSU starts at its own 25.

Predictions for Florida State vs. Georgia Tech

Liam Rooney, Democrat from Tallahassee: Florida State 27, Georgia Tech 17

“Uiagalelei picks up his first win as FSU’s quarterback, leading a steady performance by the Seminoles as the team returns home from Ireland with a 10-point victory over Georgia Tech.”

Bill Bender, The Sporting News: Florida State 31, Georgia Tech 27

“King will keep it tight, but a late turnover prevents Georgia Tech from really catching up in the fourth quarter. The Yellow Jackets were 7-2 (against the spread) as an underdog last season, and we’ll trust that trend against a tricky matchup. We just hope we can avoid a late Seminoles score here to get the win.”

CBS Sports Staff: Back Georgia Tech

One of Casale’s top picks for the 0 college football season: He’s backing Georgia Tech (+11.5) over FSU. The Seminoles are coming off an incredible season that ended tragically when starting quarterback Jordan Travis suffered a season-ending knee injury in a regular-season loss to Florida. They beat Louisville to win the ACC title, but the committee ultimately admitted that Travis’ injury was a deciding factor when they decided to eliminate Florida State from the CFP.

Collin Wilson, Action Network: Choose Florida State

While the Seminoles are certainly the best bet, injuries and suspensions in the first half could impact the market. Florida State has a massive edge in the mound and will be a solid bet at -11 or better.
