Man arrested for throwing dog over New Jersey animal shelter fence – NBC10 Philadelphia

Police in New Jersey have arrested a 23-year-old man for his alleged role in a recent incident in which a dog was thrown over the fence of the Humane Society of Atlantic County.

On Sunday morning, authorities announced the arrest of 23-year-old Jahlil McNeal of Atlantic City on suspicion of involvement in the July 15, 2024, incident in which a man threw a dog over the animal shelter fence.

According to police and the investigation, McNeal was suspected of being responsible for another incident in which three dogs were abandoned at an animal shelter in a similar manner in April.

According to police, McNeal was arrested on Saturday, August 10, following a traffic stop in the 1100 block of Baltic Avenue in Atlantic City.

McNeal is charged with four counts of animal cruelty, failure to care for animals and similar offenses.

Officials said he is in police custody at the Atlantic County Correctional Facility
