This weekend, Morgantown, West Virginia, will host a big party to kick off the 2024 college football season. No. 8 Penn State will make the 147-mile trip looking for its 50th all-time victory over the Mountaineers, who will have a loud, enthusiastic crowd behind them.
Friday afternoon kicks off with ESPN’s Pat McAfee Show at noon EST, taking place outside the Life Sciences building on campus. On Saturday morning, FOX’s Big Noon Kickoff airs its weekly pregame show featuring the best games in college football, particularly West Virginia vs. Penn State.
Wednesday night it was announced that musician Machine Gun Kelly, also known as “MGK,” will perform live at 10 a.m. EST. He is a rapper, singer, songwriter and actor who has recently immersed himself in the world of alternative rock and hip hop.
This game is considered the biggest home game for West Virginia since 1998, when they hosted the top-ranked Ohio State Buckeyes. If the Mountaineers can find a way to pull off the upset, Morgantown will continue its party well into the evening and beyond Sunday.
