The final week of the 2024 Little League World Series (LLWS) began on Monday with five games. The high stakes continue on Tuesday with four elimination games scheduled for August 20.

Eight teams will be coming to the end of their journey when they play in the LLWS elimination round on Tuesday, with four teams heading home after losses in their second tournament game and four moving one step closer to their respective regional finals.

The LLWS is a double-elimination tournament, with the entire bracket divided into four smaller subgroups: two United States brackets – the winners’ brackets and elimination brackets – and the same two brackets on the international side. The last teams remaining in these four subgroups will compete in the LLWS U.S. and International Finals. The winners of each of these finals will play in the tournament finals on Sunday.

All four games Tuesday – two on the U.S. side, two on the international side – are win-or-lose. Follow USA TODAY’s live coverage throughout the day.
