Life was a “whirlwind” when Lainey Wilson started writing her new album: “I was far from home”

Lainey Wilson‘S Whirlwind has finally landed.

Although preparing a 14-track album wasn’t easy given her hectic schedule, Lainey says the artistic process gave her stability and got her back in the saddle.

“When I was writing this record, I was far from home. It was the busiest time of my life and it will probably never be a busiest time again. And that’s why writing and recording this record felt like home,” Lainey tells ABC Audio.

The return home is also a topic that is discussed at the Whirlwind Album cover showing her leaning on a horse with a thoughtful expression.

“I feel at home on the back of a horse. I really do. You put me on the back of a horse and just let me ride,” says the Baskin, Louisiana native. “There’s something very healing about that. So I hope people feel at home when they see the cover and listen to the record.”

Whirlwind is now available wherever you enjoy music.

His first single, “Hold on, darling,” is currently approaching the top 10 of the country charts.

You can bring Lainey Whirlwind brought to life on her ongoing Country’s Cool Again Tour, which next stops in Los Angeles, Salt Lake City and Boise.
