Pressure clock: Power fantasy #1 will be reprinted in its third edition before the second edition hits the shops. In his newsletter Kieron Gillen said: “Yup, it’s the third printing of THE POWER FANTASY, which we had to finish before the second one even hit the shelves. Demand is, shall we say, massive, but we’re determined to make sure there are enough copies out there so anyone who wants to get in can. It’s a rollercoaster ride, and if you’re at all interested in following a monthly book, we’re going to make it worthwhile for you. Oh – as well as a reprint, we saw the cover and thought, “Man, that would look great with green foil” and thought, “Why not?” So there’s also a 1:10 variant of the cover with green foil. We’re also excited to show some of Rian’s more radical design work, in terms of living out the on/off symbol and playing with the inscriptions. I’m really pleased with this one… Kat from Image asked us for a pitch, and Caspar said, “Absolutely overwhelmed by the support the series has received after just one issue, and we’re just getting started. Thank you.” And I said, “The response to the book has exceeded all our expectations. The only thing stronger than our cast is the resilience of our printers, who are desperately trying to produce enough copies to meet demand. We salute them and their noble fight. They are the real heroes. Because I’m not good at dealing with things that are going well.”
Pressure clock: While Dstlry reports that “Life #1, the highly anticipated series from acclaimed creators Brian Azzarello, Stephanie Phillips, and Danijel 2efelj, has already sold out of its first printing! Don’t worry, the first print copies of LIFE #1 are still available at your local comic shop when it hits stores TOMORROW, 8/28. But do you know what that means?? THIS IS OFFICIALLY DSTLRYS FIRST SECOND PRINTING!!!!”
“The second printing of LIFE #1 has a new cover that expands on Danijel Zezelj’s art from the cover of #1A. This new cover offers a taste of the carnage to come in this space battle as would-be thieves and abandoned prisoners clash.
