Lake Mary All-Stars crush the competition in Game 4 of the Little League World Series

WILLIAMSPORT, Penn. – Lake Mary triumphed over Staten Island, New York, on Tuesday by a score of 6-1 at the Little League World Series in Williamsport, Pennsylvania.

In Tuesday’s game, Lake Mary opened with a 1-0 lead and maintained a narrow lead over Staten Island for most of the evening.

Lake Mary’s DJ Meassis helped turn the game around when he hit a three-run home run early in the sixth inning, giving them a huge lead and turning the score clearly in their favor.

Additionally, Lake Mary got RBIs from Christopher Cikodroff and pitching ace JJ Feliciano, the latter of which was crucial to the team’s victory over South Dakota.

Garrett Rohozen and Lathan Norton also pitched together for the five hits and ended the game with Lake Mary’s overwhelming victory.

But the team is not out of the woods yet.

Lake Mary got off to a strong start last week, winning its first two games against Sioux Falls and Puyallup. However, on Monday night, the team was defeated by Boerne – Lake Mary’s first loss of the season.

The tournament is a double-elimination tournament, meaning teams must lose twice before they are out of the race. That means Lake Mary will be eliminated from the World Series if they lose even one more game.
