Labor Day bridge walks planned across Northern Michigan

Labor Day bridge walks planned across Northern Michigan

NORTHERN MICHIGAN (WBPN/WGTU) – The 2024 Mackinac Bridge Walk is just around the corner.

The Mackinac Bridge will be closed to vehicle traffic on Labor Day from 6:30 a.m. to noon.

The Mackinac Bridge walk begins at 7 a.m. in St. Ignace and Mackinaw City.

This year, there was a change to the trailhead for hikers on the north side of the Mackinac Bridge. Officials moved the trailhead from the Mackinac Bridge Authority building to Bridge View Park.

If you can’t walk the Mighty Mac on Labor Day, there are several communities planning a celebration on a much smaller scale.
