Koei Tecmo sets release date for the game Fairy Tail 2

Koei Tecmo announced the release date for Fairy Tale 2, the new game that continues the events of the 2020 game. It will be released this year. The PC version will be released first, which will be released on Steam on December 11, 2024. The console versions will then be released a few days later on December 13, 2024.

A trailer for the release date accompanied the Fairy Tale 2 Announcement. It started with the confirmation of manga creator Hiro Mashima’s involvement. Then we saw the two sides involved. One is the Guild, with Natsu accompanied by all of his allies. Then, as the events of the Alvarez Empire and the final battle are teased, we see all of their opponents. From there, it focuses on gameplay. We see Fiore, watch the crew fight, and see special attacks. After that, bits of the story and appearances from characters from the Alvarez Empire are teased. At the very end, we see that with pre-orders we get a Natsu of Edolas costume for him, and if we buy it at or immediately after launch, we can dress Lucy in her Miss Fairy Tail contest outfit.

Previously Fairy Tale 2 reveal, we learned a bit more about what we can expect in the new game. It will feature original story content. This includes a new epilogue. Spoilers aside, expect to learn more about what happened after the guild became involved in the events of the Alvarez Empire Arc.

The Fairy Tale 2 The release date is December 11, 2024 for the PC version on Steam, the versions for PS4, PS5 and Switch will be released on December 13, 2024.
