Kit Harington talks about the end of Game of Thrones

As the last episode of HBO’s game of Thrones When the series was released in cinemas five years ago, many viewers were dismayed and disappointed by the conclusion of the series. Series star Kit Harington recently opened for GQ hype about his thoughts on the final season, the backlash, and the future of his character Jon Snow within the franchise.

During this final season of RECEIVEHarington said he believed “mistakes were made” in the story.

“Some people thought it was rushed, and I might agree with them,” he said. When asked specifically about the final episode, he said, “I think there were some interesting decisions that didn’t quite work.”

Regardless, Harington isn’t sure there was an alternative to what he called a hasty ending.

“I look at pictures of myself this last season and I look exhausted. I look drained. I didn’t have another season in me,” he told GQ.

After the series concluded, Harington said he was contacted by HBO about a possible spin-off titled SnowHe initially rejected the proposal, but later changed his mind.

“I thought there might be an interesting and important story about the soldier after the war,” he said. “I felt that maybe there was still something to say and a story to tell, albeit on a fairly limited scale.”

The spin-off has since been canceled, mainly because Harington lacked inspiration when developing a plot.

“I kind of took a step back and said, ‘I think if we keep pushing this and developing it, we might end up with something that is not good. And that’s the last thing we all want.'”

Although the franchise boosted his career, Harington was also afraid of being locked into the role of Jon Snow.
