Kirkland police ask for help in finding missing 66-year-old man

The Kirkland Police Department (KPD) is asking for the public’s help in locating missing vulnerable adult, 66-year-old David Harger of Kirkland.

According to KPD, on Wednesday, August 21, at approximately 12 noon, David left his Kirkland residence in the Kingsgate neighborhood at the corner of North East 144 Pace and 129th Place North East and did not return.

According to KPD, David has brown hair and blue eyes and was last seen wearing a dark red t-shirt, dark colored knit pants and black Velcro shoes. Officers said when he was last seen, David was wearing a black bag around his neck with necessary medications. David requires constant medical attention. Without this care, he is prone to falls, disorientation and/or confusion. He knows his name and responds to “Dave” when called. His medical needs increase the urgency of finding him.

Kirkland Police are working with King County Search and Rescue to find David, using an unmanned aerial system and teams searching the area. David does not have access to a car but could have used the King County Metro bus system. David has been placed on the Washington State database as a missing person with a Silver Alert.

Kirkland Police are asking anyone with information that could help locate David Harger to contact Kirkland Police at 425-577-5656. If you see David in the community, please contact your local police department or 9-1-1 so police can help reunite him with his family.
