Kelly Rowland reportedly said “no, no, no” to moderation Today after she had problems with her dressing room.
Kelly appeared on the talk show early Thursday morning to promote her new film Mea Culpa. It’s a steamy thriller from Tyler Perry about a criminal defense attorney who gets too involved with one of her clients. Kelly plays the lead role.
She was scheduled to stay as guest presenter later in the afternoon Today with Hoda and Jenna as a replacement for Jenna Bush Hager, but she reportedly left the band due to wardrobe problems.
“Kelly left because she and her team didn’t like her dressing room,” a source told People, adding that Rita Ora was chosen to take Kelly’s place.
“Rita Ora agreed to step in at the last minute. A lot of people at the show, inside and outside the show, were impressed by how great she was,” the source added.
Page Six first reported the news, claiming that Kelly had allegedly inquired about various spaces, including a green room on an upper floor. Unfortunately, Jennifer Lopez was already using the space as she prepared to promote her new music project. This is me … now.
The source claimed that Kelly decided to leave after being offered other premises but turning them down.
Representatives for the singer did not immediately respond to a request for comment, but we’ll let you know when they do.
