Kelly Rowland is causing a stir!
On Thursday, May 2, the 43-year-old Destiny’s Child singer debuted dyed platinum blonde locks at Jhpiego’s “Laughter Is the Best Medicine” gala in Beverly Hills.
Rowland dressed to impress for the nonprofit’s star-studded event at the Beverly Wilshire Hotel, wearing a backless black latex dress with a mermaid-style bottom, and accessorized the look with a pair of huge crystal earrings.

At the gala, Rowland appeared alongside her friend Ciara, who was honored with the Visionary Award for her work with organizations such as her Why Not You Foundation.
Ciara also made an impression in white and posed on the red carpet in a double-breasted jacket, wide trousers and matching pointed pumps.

Rowland’s outing came after she first revealed that she had dyed her dark hair blonde in an Instagram post on April 21. “So blondes have more fun? Eh? We’ll see……😉,” the “Stole” singer wrote.
Rowland donned another pair of huge statement earrings for the images and added some diamond and pearl necklaces. She shared a close-up shot that puts her new look front and center.
In a second shot, she threw her hands in the air while posing next to a piano, and in a third photo she was seen pouting at the camera while looking over her shoulder.
