Kelly Osbourne jokes about Boo Sid Wilson’s fire accident

On August 23, Slipknot revealed that his turntable player DJ Sid Wilson was involved in a terrible accident. After receiving medical attention following the fiery explosion, Wilson seemed to be in a much better mood. Although his road to recovery will be tough, his sweetheart and TV host Kelly Osbourne will make sure he is full of laughter.

Yesterday (August 24), Osbourne made a lot of jokes about Wilson’s accident – with whom she has a son – to encourage other musicians to stay away from anything flammable.

In a series of images uploaded to her Instagram stories, Osbourne created a playlist of songs fitting for the tragic occasion. Songs featured in the photos of the anguished Wilson included Adele’s “Set Fire To The Rain,” Billy Joel’s “We Didn’t Start The Fire,” Jerry Lee Lewis’ “Great Balls Of Fire,” The Prodigy’s “Firestarter,” and Alicia Keys’ “Girl On Fire.”

But it wasn’t all laughter. The first post shared on Osbourne’s account was a video in which she thanked her fans for their well-wishes before picking Wilson up from the hospital.

“Good morning everyone,” she said. “I just wanted to take a moment to thank everyone who sent us their well wishes and prayers for Sid. He is doing so much better. In fact, we are on our way to pick him up from the hospital right now. We will update you later. He is still in a lot of pain. But he is doing so much better. We love you. Thank you.”

Wilson has also posted videos on his personal account showing a behind-the-scenes look at his medical treatment (viewable here), his transport to a secondary care facility (viewable here), and a photo of his injuries.

Although Slipknot have confirmed that they will still perform at Rocklahoma 2024, attendees should not expect to see Sid Wilson behind the DJ booth.
