Kelly Clarkson is back at the Grammys, this time thanks to her album Chemistry, which was nominated for Best Pop Vocal Album. The three-time Grammy winner hit the red carpet on Sunday night looking chic in a white off-the-shoulder dress with tons of diamonds. I mean, gorgeous!
Kelly posted about her nomination on Instagram in November, writing, “Wow! I am so grateful for every Grammy nomination I have ever received from @recordingacademy but this album means so much to me and this nomination hits me in a whole different way. Thank you! I am also so honored to share this nomination with incredible artists like @teddysphotos, @mileycyrus, @taylorswift and @oliviarodrigo ❤️.”
And she couldn’t spend the big night alone. In fact, she brought her most charming companion to walk the red carpet with her: her son, Remington Alexander Blackstock. The two walked hand in hand and he wore a stunning red velvet suit.
Chemistry is largely inspired by Kelly’s relationship – and divorce – from her ex-husband Brandon Blackstock. She says, “I tried to find a word, and it could be one of the songs on the album, but I tried to find a word that really describes the whole thing. Because I didn’t want everyone to think I was just expressing a few feelings, like ‘I’m angry,’ ‘I’m sad,’ just one or two. This album is definitely the arc of a whole relationship. A whole relationship shouldn’t be reduced to just one thing. There’s the good, the bad and the ugly in it.”
