Tourism Karnataka proudly concluded his participation in the recently held Travel and Tourism Fair (TTF) Ahmedabad, at the Mahatma Mandir Convention & Exhibition Centre, Gandhinagar, from August 7 to 9, 2024, was a successful showcase of the state’s rich cultural heritage, its diverse tourism offerings and its strategic collaborations with industry stakeholders. The Karnataka Tourism Pavilion was awarded the Excellence Award for Best Design and Decoration, further highlighting the state’s commitment to excellence in promoting its tourism potential.

Tourism KarnatakaThe presence of at TTF Ahmedabad was highlighted by a dynamic representation of the state’s thriving tourism sector. The delegation led by Dr. S. Thippaswamy, Deputy Director, Directorate of Tourism, Government of Karnataka, Mr. Srinivas, Public Relations Officer, Karnataka State Tourism Development Corporation Ltd., Ms. Sujatha, Manager, Jungle Lodges and Resorts Ltd and Ms. Shobha, Manager, Jungle Lodges & Resorts Ltd., was accompanied by key stakeholders from various sectors including hospitality, travel agents, tour operators and representatives of heritage and eco-tourism initiatives, all united in their mission to promote Karnataka as a world-class tourist destination.

The Karnataka Tourism Pavilion was honoured with the visit of Principal Secretary Tourism, Government of Gujarat, Shri Rajendra Kumar (IAS) and Managing Director and Tourism Officer, Ms. Saidingpuii Chhakchhuak (IAS).

The state’s stand attracted a lot of attention and showcased a variety of attractions and experiences, with a special focus on the famous Hoysaleshwara Temple of Halebidu. Highlights included Karnataka’s UNESCO World Heritage Sites like the stunning Hampi, the awe-inspiring Pattadakal and the ornate temples of Belur. Each site was highlighted as a testimony to Karnataka’s rich historical and architectural heritage, offering visitors a glimpse into the state’s living heritage. In addition, Karnataka’s pristine beaches, verdant hill stations and thriving wildlife sanctuaries were also showcased at the stand, further demonstrating the state’s natural and cultural diversity.

Throughout the event, the Karnataka Tourism delegation held productive discussions with travel professionals, tour operators and potential partners. These discussions opened up opportunities for collaboration with the aim of enhancing tourism packages, creating innovative travel experiences and increasing tourist inflow to Karnataka.

The positive response from visitors and industry peers underlines the growing interest in Karnataka’s tourism offerings. The fair provided a platform to highlight the state’s commitment to sustainable tourism, natural beauty, cultural richness and the warm hospitality that characterizes Karnataka.
