In case you haven’t heard, it’s 2002, the most popular song on the radio is “Sk8r Boi,” and you’re in a huge fight with your mom because she refused to drive you to the mall so you could buy some safety pin earrings from Hot Topic. At least, that’s how I’m feeling mentally now that Travis Barker from Blink-182 is an A-lister again and out here making pop-punk songs with Machine Gun Kelly.

In August 2021, MGK released his banging single “Papercuts” featuring Travis, and just last February, “Emo Girl” featuring Willow Smith came out. And honestly… both of them are a smash hit. Much like Machine Gun Kelly’s career in general right now, to be honest. This guy has come a long way since his feud with Eminem—now he’s busy being engaged to Megan Fox (though it’s kind of unclear how that’s shaping up given all the rumors that they might have split 👀), starring in a bunch of movies he refuses to promote, and producing the soundtrack to our angst-filled summers and winters.
