Jungle stars show their luxury items

“I’m a Celebrity – Showdown of the Jungle Legends” will send 13 celebrities to the jungle camp from August 16. Each star is allowed to bring two luxury items. The dilemma of choice means that the participants also pack a few curiosities.

From August 16th, RTL will be showing “I’m a Celebrity – Showdown of the Jungle Legends” every day at 8:15 p.m. To mark the 20th anniversary of the RTL show “I’m a Celebrity – Get Me Out of Here!” (IBES), the jungle is coming to summer for the first time. And for the first time, RTL+ will be showing the new episode exclusively every day from August 15th. The stream will also start on August 15th. The destination is also new: instead of Australia, the 13 former IBES stars are going to South Africa.

Despite all these innovations, the old rule for the jungle legends remains: only two luxury items are allowed per person in the jungle camp. You might think that the experienced ex-campers would have an easier time choosing what to take with them this time. However, the list also includes tried and tested camp classics such as pillows – even ones that are printed with the faces of loved ones at home, like Sarah Knappik and Elena Miras’.

Thorsten “Kasalla” Legat sees it differently. “At home you have pillows. In the jungle you have nothing,” he explained in an RTL interview. Nothing – except a lip balm with sun protection factor, because he has “very sensitive lips.”

Georgina Fleur, Giulia Siegel and Kader Loth also have beauty products in their kit – a little concealer, mascara or lipstick can make the night watch by the campfire much more pleasant.

Speaking of enjoyable: Gigi Birofino also attaches great importance to her appearance. In addition to hair wax, the reality star also has tanning spray with her in case the South African sun doesn’t play along.

The luxury items of the jungle legends

  • Giulia Siegel: Bronzer and baby powder
  • Sarah Knappik: Earplugs and a pillow with her daughter’s handprints
  • Georgina Fleur: eyelash serum, red lipstick
  • Winfried Glatzeder: nothing
  • Mola Adebisi: Pillows and earplugs
  • David Ortega: German flag, Spanish flag
  • Thorsten Legat: Lip balm
  • Kader Loth: Eye shadow and concealer
  • Hanka Rackwitz: Pillows and eyeliner
  • Daniela Büchner: Earplugs and pillows
  • Elena Miras: Pillow and her daughter’s stuffed toy
  • Eric Stehfest: Pillow and heart necklace from Mrs. Edith
  • Gigi Birofio: tanning spray, hair wax

Glatzeder sees himself as luxury enough

Actor Winfried Glatzeder, on the other hand, consciously opts for minimalism. He chose “himself” as a luxury item for good reason. His renewed participation in IBES is “a journey of self-discovery” – and a luxury item would be a “restriction of my freedom”. He enjoys being “alone in the camp”. Someone might have told him that he would not be the only one fighting in South Africa for a second chance at the jungle crown and 100,000 euros.

Also present are Sonja Zietlow and Jan Köppen, who also present “I’m a Celebrity – Showdown of the Jungle Legends”. Dr. Bob has also traveled to South Africa and is certainly looking forward to the legendary line “I’m a Celebrity – give me the spray tan!”

After selecting their luxury items, the celebrities return to the jungle camp, where they face another challenge. With Sonja Zietlow and Jan Köppen as moderators, they must face various tasks and challenges in order to survive and ultimately fight for the jungle crown.

Over time, Giulia Siegel will find that the bronzer and baby powder she packed are invaluable, enhancing her appearance during evening gatherings around the campfire.
