Cinderella Castle

From brief closures due to mechanical issues and inclement weather to longer renovations to spruce up the rides a bit, it’s pretty common for Disney World rides to occasionally close. Coming soon, a classic Magic Kingdom ride will be closing for renovations… and now we have more information!

Starting August 26, Jungle Cruise will be temporarily closed for renovations. Disney has not released any details about what changes will be made to the attraction, but it is likely just a routine refurbishment, as the attraction was completely overhauled several years ago.

According to the Disney World app, the attraction is scheduled to reopen on October 18, 2024. It is on the renovation list until October 17, which means it will open in time for the start of the holiday season in November!

Jungle Cruise Details

Every year at Christmas time, the Jungle Cruise transforms into the Jingle Cruise. It is decorated for the holidays and the captains tell funny jokes and puns as you cruise through the rivers of the world. This overlay is usually available both during the day and during Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party.
