Actor Jonathan Bennett should watch out. After pulling an epic prank on his good friend and Hallmark Channel co-star Rachel Boston, her fans are dying to see her get revenge – and she’s promised she will.

On August 22, 2024, Bennett posted a video of himself and Boston – on vacation in Park City, Utah – preparing to jump fully clothed into a lake, just for fun. Holding hands, they smiled at the camera and then counted to their jump – “1! 2! 3!”

But as soon as Boston, dressed in a white halter top and matching skirt, leapt into the air, Bennett let go of her hand and watched her jump into the lake alone while he laughed hysterically. Boston screamed and laughed in disbelief as she surfaced for air, and yelled at Bennett as she swam back to the platform.

Bennett captioned the video: “After over 20 years of friendship, she should have known better.”

In the comments section of the post, Boston wrote: “Let’s jump in the lake he said. It’ll be fun he said 😂😂😂 !!! JONATHAN!!!”

Bennett then replied, “How the hell could you actually think I would do that in my clothes?!?”

Boston and Bennett, along with his husband Jaymes Vaughan, have shared more videos and photos from their trip to Utah, but none have garnered more reaction than Bennett’s stunning prank.

One person wrote on Instagram: “Oh my god! She should pull you in 😂” and Bennett replied: “She’d have to catch me first!”

Another commented: “Sounds like you need to think of a way to prank him, Rachel!”

Boston replied, “It’s my turn!”

When someone suggested she “ask her fans for suggestions for the greatest retribution of all time,” Boston called it a “fabulous idea.”

Even Vaughan, who has been the subject of many of Bennett’s pranks and funny videos over the years, offered to help, writing: “Let me know if you need help getting him back 🙃”

Many fans also commented on the bond between Bennett and Boston, with one writing, “If the Hallmark family friendships are even half as real as they seem, this is a great family to be a part of. ❤️ I look forward to seeing you guys having fun together on and off set! 😂”

In December 2022, Boston shared some insight into her long friendship with Bennett in an Instagram post, saying they met at an audition in New York City when she was just 17.

“That night he asked me if I wanted to go to the movies,” she wrote. “I thought it was a date. Spoiler alert folks – it wasn’t a date… it was the start of a friendship that has lasted two decades.”

“We have been there for each other through life’s highest heights and greatest challenges,” she continued. “We filmed our very first television shows together, made a Christmas movie together, and rode on the bus to Radio City Music Hall with our @hallmarkchannel family in 2022. It was magical.”

Many of Bennett and Boston’s Hallmark colleagues also commented on the prank – and Bennett warned some of them that they could be next on his list of victims.

When Ashley Williams commented: “HAHAHAAAAAAAAA!!!! 😂😂”, Bennett replied: “You’re next woman”

BJ Britt, who stars with Bennett in the upcoming trilogy “The Groomsmen,” wrote: “Lol!!😂😂😂 Hilarious!!!” When Boston responded that Bennett missed a good swimming opportunity, Britt replied: “He actually did!!😂 I’ll be there next time to shove @jonathandbennett in😂😉”

Heather Hemmens, who plays Britt’s lover in “The Groomsmen,” wrote: “Absolutely wild 😂😂😂” and Bennett replied: “Take care!”

Hallmark’s Nikki DeLoach called the prank “excellent,” Andrew Walker wrote “Well played 😂” and Missy Claire Egan commented “So messed up 😂”

Even Everett Andres, who played Boston’s son in “Dating the Delaneys” and Bennett’s nephew in “The Holiday Sitter,” got in on the act, joking, “It breaks my heart to see my uncle do this to my mother!! How could you?”

Bennett has long been playing pranks and jokes on his Hallmark pals. He is often hired to host major events – including the upcoming Hallmark cruises – because he is considered the life of the party.

In January 2023, he drew big laughs when he posted a video in which he convinced another longtime girlfriend, Lacey Chabert, to fall backwards into a snowbank with him.

In 2015, while promoting his Hallmark movie with co-star Lexi Giovagnoli, he told Tell-Tale TV, “When I’m on set, I always joke. I used to put dog treats in the pocket of one of my co-stars in ‘A Dog Walker’s Christmas Tale.’ I used to put dog treats in her pocket when she wasn’t looking. And the dogs on set would always chase her, and she never found out why!”
