“Freelance,” the new film starring John Cena and Alison Brie, has landed on Rotten Tomatoes’ list of the 100 worst films of all time.

The action comedy is about former special forces agent Mason Pettits (Cena), who takes a job as security for journalist Claire Wellington (Brie) while she interviews the dictator (Juan Pablo Raba) of a fictional country called Paldonia.

However, in the middle of the interview, a military coup breaks out and the trio is forced to flee into the jungle together to survive. All sorts of pranks and armed conflicts ensue.

The film was panned upon its release last week (October 27), garnering a 0% approval rating from its first 23 reviews. This response meant Freelance made it onto the website’s worst movies of all time list, with the comedy currently sitting at number 33.

The lowest-rated film on the site is currently Ballistic: Ecks vs Sever, with other notable entries in the top 10 including Left Behind, A Thousand Words, Gotti, and Jaws: The Retaliation.

The overall review for Freelance has been consistently negative so far, with Slant Magazine calling the film a “cinematic Frankenstein whose disparate genre elements have been cobbled together without much thought or fuss.”

While “Freelance” certainly disappointed critics, Cena is probably hoping that the second season of “Peacemaker” can satisfy viewers more, as director James Gunn recently revealed that the scripts are already being written.

“Creating Peacemaker has been one of the true highlights of my life, both professionally and personally, with John Cena and the incredible creative team around me, as well as our partners at HBO Max,” Gunn said in announcing the second season.

“It’s been a wonderful experience to see something we all love so much being loved by the audience too. I can’t wait for people to see where Team Peacemaker goes in season two.”

Freelance is now in US theaters.
