Joe Burrow has a surprising place on Peyton Manning’s top five list

The topic of Cincinnati Bengals quarterback Joe Burrow’s rank among his peers can be put to rest – for now.

During his appearance at Fanatics Fest on Sunday, Peyton Manning ranked Burrow No. 2 overall, just behind Kansas City Chiefs quarterback Patrick Mahomes, when asked to rate his five best current passers.

“I’m a huge fan of Joe Burrow. I’m glad to see him healthy again,” Manning said. “I like his demeanor… He doesn’t sweat, he doesn’t flinch. He’s just calm and collected the whole time.”

And who is anyone who could argue with Peyton Manning about the passer rankings?

In Manning’s eyes, Burrow is currently ahead of Justin Herbert, the quarterback of the Los Angeles Chargers, Lamar Jackson of the Baltimore Ravens and Josh Allen, the passer of the Buffalo Bills.

Those who have seen Burrow in good health will hardly disagree at this point, although he will have to have a good season in 2024 to keep his spot.

Whatever the case, these seem to be the top 5 that most fans agree on right now, too. And Manning has explained where Burrow stands, which will give fans ammunition in debates.
