Jenn could propose to Devin after “Love” drama

Jenn could propose to Devin after “Love” drama

In the very first episode of Jenn Trans Bachelorette In the first season, fans got a sneak peek of her final rose ceremony – where the season 21 leading lady wears a white evening gown and tells someone, “I can’t let you propose to me.” There’s also the trailer where host Jesse Palmer tells Jenn that she’s about to do something “no Bachelorette has ever done.”

Of course, fans have been wondering all season long what this first-of-its-kind conclusion might look like, with the prevailing theory being that Jenn proposes to her final rose recipient. Now, a little taster for the August 26 episode (the penultimate week in Jenn’s Bachelorette Journey) could provide a clear picture of how this theoretical, groundbreaking proposal could come about. Warning, spoilers!

Devin looks ahead

During Hometown, Devin Strader told Jenn that he loved her. However, she didn’t return his feelings yet.

In the teaser for Fantasy Suites, Devin continues to tell Jenn exactly where he stands. “I would love to call you my fiancée, and I would love to call you my wife,” he says.

The preview doesn’t show Jenn’s reaction to the statement, but it hints at a separate conversation between the two – and emotions are running high. “I want to get to the end, but I don’t know how to get there with you,” Devin says.

“I don’t know how I can be what you need me to be,” Jenn replies – and later asks into the camera: “Am I doing something wrong?”

To make matters worse, Jenn tells Marcus Shoberg that she’s in love with him. If Jenn and Devin’s conflict in the Fantasy Suite stems from her having strong feelings for someone else, then that could certainly shake Devin’s confidence in their future together.

Jenn has the power

Still, according to Reality Steve, Devin is the alleged winner of Jenn’s season. If the theory about Jenn’s proposal is true, then perhaps it’s a meaningful gesture to show Devin that she’s all in—a way of communicating that he’s her first choice and not just the last man standing.

Interestingly, during a performance at the Bachelor Happy Hour In this podcast, Devin shared his perspective on “wild love” and this might provide a clue about his fate with Jenn.

“I think ‘wild’ to me means letting go of everything, but having the best intentions,” he said. “Just because it’s a different approach doesn’t mean it’s wrong.”

The last piece could well be a role-reversing version of the traditional Bachelorette Proposal. The Season 21 tagline, “The power is in Jenn’s hands,” has long fueled the theory that Jenn will propose – but in the new context of Devin’s doubts about the Fantasy Suites, this would be a particularly moving twist.
