Jeff Lynne starts farewell tour for ELO: Setlist, Videos

Jeff Lynne’s ELO kicked off the Over and Out Tour in Palm Desert, California on Saturday. Videos and a full setlist can be found below.

The newly formed Electric Light Orchestra has not toured since 2019, after the release of their last album. Out of nowhereELO will now play in over two dozen North American cities.

Lynne is the only remaining original member of the group. ELO then returned to world tours with great success, including their first North American performances in over 30 years. Lynne said the comeback was sparked by a new lineup of more than a dozen musicians who masterfully recreate records that dominated the charts from the mid-’70s to the early ’80s.

“We can actually cover every song I’ve ever done with this number of people, with three keyboards, two cellos, violin, four guitars, bass, drums, percussion and backing vocals,” Lynne said with newfound enthusiasm. “Everything is covered.”

Why Jeff Lynne likes to tour now

Two songs found on Out of nowhere underline how much he has enjoyed this late return to touring, “Time of Our Life” and “One More Time”. “Oh, I’m having the time of my life,” Lynne confirmed. “I’m trying to recreate the sound that I imagined ELO would have forever – really, from day one. It’s never been like that until now.”

As interest in the new Over and Out Tour grew, Lynne extended the tour to include second nights at previously announced stops. Key upcoming shows include Seattle, Cleveland, New York and Denver.
