Jazz Chisholm had the time of his life watching an MLB game with Little League players

There is perhaps no event as comprehensive as the MLB Little League Classic, the annual regular season game for Little League players, families and coaches during the Little League World Series, held in Williamsport, Pennsylvania.

It is a day full of fun and excitement that puts players in the middle of the action, with some of their the most passionate fans, children who see the otherwise great superstars look down on them for a day. The professional players came off their planes in their jerseys and spent the whole day on Sunday with the children.

Jazz Chisholm, in particular, had a great night at the ballpark during the Classic between the New York Yankees and Detroit Tigers, enjoying everything great about the event. Chisholm – currently on the 10-day injured list with a UCL injury – sat in the locker room for an interview during the game with ESPN, but postponed his return to the Yankee team. Instead, he bounced between the seats at Historic Bowman Field and spent time with the Little League athletes as they watched the game.

One athlete in particular was a young boy who told Chisholm he was his favorite player. Chisholm immediately declared he was his “big brother” and said he wanted to take care of some of his equipment needs.

Later, Chisholm began a Yankees home game tradition, the roll-call chant, bringing in shortstop Anthony Volpe, who adopted Chisholm’s step-back jumper, which he began doing for the roll call after being signed by New York earlier that month:

These children will talk about it for the rest of their lives.

The Tigers won 3-2 on a walk-off hit in the 10th inning.
