Is Wendy’s launching real Krabby Patties? What you should know about the Paramount/SpongeBob SquarePants combination

For years, SpongeBob SquarePants fans have wanted to know what a real Krabby Patty tastes like.

Your dreams could soon come true, because according to Popverse, Wendy’s and Paramount are bringing the fictional underwater fast food dish to life on the chain’s menu.

Wendy’s and Paramount have not yet confirmed that the new dish will be launched. However, internal memos to employees dated August 16, purporting to be from Wendy’s, have surfaced online, detailing a limited-time collaboration to offer Krabby Patties starting October 8 to celebrate the 25th anniversary of the hit Nickelodeon television series.

The Krabby Patties will be described as an “exclusive Krabby Patty collaboration” and will be “available as part of a meal to adult consumers and fans in the United States, Canada and Guam,” the memo said.

The Krabby Patty will be a Wendy’s cheeseburger, topped with fresh produce and what the chain calls a “secret Krabby Patty sauce” – so Plankton can’t steal the secret formula. The burger will be served with fries.

Wendy’s is also releasing a new Frosty flavor with the meal – the Pineapple Under the Sea Frosty. The Frosty is an homage to SpongeBob’s pineapple home with a mix of Vanilla Frosty and pineapple-mango puree.

Additionally, each Krabby Patty Collab meal comes with a limited edition SpongeBob SquarePants sticker sheet, while supplies last.

When Wendy’s and Paramount launch the limited-edition Krabby Patty menu, it will be available through Nov. 11, according to the memo.

Just don’t bother your local Wendy’s by calling and asking if it’s the Krusty Krab.
