After a 13-year hiatus, Chick-fil-A’s Banana Pudding Milkshake is back on the menu. Is it worth all the hype surrounding its return?

Chick-fil-A revived its Banana Pudding Milkshake on Monday after, according to the fast-food chain, there had been “countless calls for its return” since it disappeared from the menu in 2011.

“With cooling, soothing flavors, the sweet and creamy milkshake is made with Chick-fil-A Icedream dessert, blended with real bananas and vanilla wafer cookie crumbs, topped with whipped cream and a cherry,” says Chick-fil-A.

According to Chick-fil-A, the banana pudding-inspired shake will remain on the menu until November 16, 2024, while supplies last.

Is Chick-fil-A’s Banna Pudding Milkshake any good? Should you try it? I tried it on Monday. Here’s my impression.

Is the Chick-fil-A Banana Pudding Milkshake good?

Yes, the Chick-fil-A Banana Pudding Milkshake is good. Is it great? That depends on how much you like banana pudding.

If you like banana pudding and other banana-flavored treats, the Chick-fil-A Banana Pudding Shake is for you. If banana-flavored treats aren’t your thing, I would steer clear of this dessert as it has a strong banana flavor.

The best part of the banana shake was the vanilla wafer cookie crumbs. The shake had plenty of them – but I wish there were more! The cookie crumbs gave the smooth, super sweet shake a great texture and taste.

I would put Chick-fil-A’s Banana Pudding Milkshake on par with the chain’s strawberry and peach shakes, but the Cookies and Cream Shake has a slight edge over the banana.

As much as I liked the Banana Pudding Milkshake, Chick-fil-A’s seasonal Peppermint Shake is still number one. You’ll have to wait until winter for the Peppermint Shake, and in the meantime, the Banana Pudding (almost) fills its void.
