Max, Warner Bros.’ streaming channel, will launch in the UK at some point, according to television executives.
Warner Bros Discovery confirmed that it plans to expand its streaming product to markets in Latin America and Europe.
During the company’s recent fourth-quarter earnings call, executives specifically identified the UK and Germany as areas of interest for expansion.
In other parts of the meeting, executives announced the development of a number of hit series over the next few years, including the third season of White Lotus, as well as a Harry Potter and Dune series. They also mentioned the possibility of bundling their product with Netflix to offer viewers programming from both platforms.
“We’ve had some real failures, but also some really big successes,” HBO bosses said in the quarterly earnings call, citing “Suicide Squad” as one of the projects that didn’t perform as well as hoped.
The platform, which replaces HBO Max, is intended to offer subscribers a wider choice of entertainment.

Warner Bros Discovery is in the process of rolling out Max internationally.
However, TV fans who want to watch HBO shows may have to wait until at least 2026, when the streaming service arrives in the UK.
While those responsible set the launch date in the UK and Germany two years later, they did not provide any further details on the availability or cost of a subscription in the UK.
However, it’s worth noting that some HBO shows, like Game of Thrones and Succession, are available to watch NOW on the streaming service.

If Warner Bros. is successful in the UK, it will also coincide with the expected release of a Harry Potter series. According to The Wrap, executives recently met with JK Rowling to bring the franchise back to life.
“Both sides are just thrilled to revitalize this franchise,” Warner Bros Discovery CEO David Zaslav said, according to The Wrap. He added, “We can’t wait to share a decade of new stories with fans around the world on Max. We’re targeting a 2026 debut.”
Initial reports suggested that the producers wanted to turn each book into a series with a total of seven seasons. However, few details about the project are known at this time.
According to the recent earnings call, Dune will be another series that will be available on the streaming platform in due course.
Warner Bros confirmed that filming on Superman: Legacy will begin next week and that A Knight of the Seven Kingdoms will premiere on Max in 2025.
