He is a tribute to all the Hindi pulp fiction writers she grew up with. For those who don’t know, pulp fiction is a genre of books that features daring, action-packed stories that were usually considered to be of low quality. Authors like Ved Prakash Sharma and Surendra Mohan Pathak may have loosely inspired Dinesh Pandit’s books Phir Aayi Haseen Dillruba.
