In case you, dear readers, haven’t noticed, I am a bit of an excited person. There are already tons of upcoming movies 2025 I am looking forward to having some real winners alongside the rest of this year’s lineup, so when I first got the news that Crawl 2 was in development, I wasn’t sure I had room in my heart for something that didn’t feel like a natural sequel. But then I read the plot details and I was no longer on the defensive, but ready to go or punch!
Paramount Pictures is reportedly in the midst of “developing” the sequel to director Alexandre Aja’s 2019 horror hit. THR’s article that says Aja will be coming back to lead this new adventure. So that’s the first green flag, as part of my brain is still adjusting to the solid Quality drop between the remake of the French director The hills have eyes and its ill-considered continuation.
And don’t think I just threw out the 2025 time frame, because this new alligator flick is set to hit theaters in the fall. That might suggest that all that “profound development” will get this baby in theaters next year! Which brings us to this: Crawl 2 According to these alleged pitch details from the cited report, it is about:
OK, so Crawl 2 want to go to the Big Apple and let a few alligators (or a single, highly concentrated alligator) take a big bite? Considering the original Creep was one of Quentin Tarantino’s favorite films of 2019this concept somehow pursues even more.
Maybe one of our potential heroes can use a flamethrower to defend his group while joking about how everyone wants his alligator bites? If you’re interested in the best scary animal movies without sharks, or even the ones that feature these beautiful creatures, I’d like to think you’re on the same page as me on all of this.
And in case you have forgotten the magic that Creepcheck out this trailer I dug out of the archives below:
While I wouldn’t have been completely against this fast-paced sequel starring Haley (Kaya Scodelario) and Dave Keller (Barry Pepper), it’s hard to imagine how that version would work. That back-and-forth is something I still feel when I rewatch the sequel. Crawl End, because it was designed specifically for this purpose; like a lab-grown alligator.
That and the last thing I want Crawl 2 Authors Andrew Deutschman and Jason Pagan only need to understand the process of to decide whether Crawl Dog lived or died. Sugar earned to live, and we all know it! We can’t let Florida keep all the alligator-rattling fun to itself, and what better place than New York City to open up a new batch of potentially dismembering fun?
When we talk about nature, Crawling 2 The potential pitch did what every Paramount horror sequel should do: set the show on its way to Manhattan! And why not? It kind of worked with Jason Voorhees, and judging by the Smile 2 Trailer, it looks like we’ll see this strategy back in the game very soon. If Mr. Tarantino or another Creep If fans want to take the initiative and discuss my opinion, I will gladly accept this challenge.
If you really want to understand why I am so excited about this announcement, you can do two things. Option 1 is to go back in time and read that Mike’s Creep reviewthat shines like Kaya Scodelario’s torch in the header image. And when you do, give him a shout out from me and Crawl 2 happened.
Your second option, which I would highly recommend before or after reading my other works, is to register with a Paramount+ subscription (or any other platform currently streaming this movie) and watch it for yourself. Trust me, you won’t regret it… unless you don’t like the idea of 87 minutes of thrilling hand-to-hand combat scenes with natural killing machines.
