“I can’t come home yet!” Miriam Margolyes from “Harry Potter” tells her fans that she is stuck in the hospital

“Harry Potter” star Miriam Margolyes has told her fans that she is stuck in hospital with a severe chest infection and “can’t come home yet.”

Over the weekend, Margolyes shared a snapshot of herself in her hospital bed on Facebook, along with an update on her condition.

She wrote: “I survived and am still in the Royal Brompton Hospital… My energy is growing but I am not quite myself yet. I am writing this so you know how grateful I am for kind messages.

“Many thanks to all my wonderful friends who sent me messages and to the very kind doctors and nurses at RBHT who put up with me and put a TAVI (transcatheteral aortic valve implantation) in the LAVVY. HUGS. MM.”

The star had hoped to be sent home on Sunday, but posted another update on his health on Facebook.

“I spoke too soon,” she wrote. “Can’t come home yet: I have a chest infection. Probably tomorrow. But at least I’m resting. Love to all. Thank you for your kind messages.”

Fans then sent their congratulations. One wrote: “Thanks for the update. I’m glad you have time to rest, even if you’re forced to…”

Another commented: “Sending you lots of nursing wishes for your recovery,” while a third wrote: “Sorry you have to go home so late. You will bounce back. Wishing you a speedy recovery.”

On Tuesday, Margolyes finally announced that she was allowed to go home and thanked all her fans for their good wishes.

She wrote: “Beloved friends. After yesterday’s assholery, I’m going home later today.

“A big thank you to all my wonderful friends who sent me messages and to the very kind doctors and nurses at RBHT who put up with me.”

In addition to her role in “Harry Potter,” the actress – who recently announced that she was dissatisfied with her salary in the fantasy series – is known for her leading roles in “The Ages of Innocence” and the television series “Call the Midwife” and “Miss Fisher’s Murder Mysteries.”
