The Catalina Skin is a reward for those who play Fortnite natively on iOS and Android.

These are available through the Mobile App Bonus Goals questline and last for the duration of Chapter 5, Season 4 (which features a variety of Marvel-themed maps and weapons, as well as Battle Pass skins, including Doctor Doom).

While these quests are visible to all players, the ability to complete them – and thereby unlock the Katalina skin – is limited to certain mobile devices and/or regions. This page explains what you need to qualify.

It is worth noting that the Katalina skin is sold to all players ultimatelySo this isn’t your only chance to get it if you don’t have the right equipment – even if you have to shell out the V-Bucks for it.

The “Mobile App Bonus Goals” are a series of quests that you have to play Fortnite natively on iOS (especially iPhones and not iPads) or Androidbe it via the Epic Games Store app or the AltStore PAL marketplace.

The Epic Games Store app is available for Android worldwide, and the Epic Games Store app and AltStore PAL marketplace can only be downloaded on iOS devices in EU territories.

For clarification for iOS users: If you live in North America, the UK, or a country outside the EU, you will not be able to download and play the Epic Games Store app Fortnite natively. iOS users in the EU can see the exact list of territories that qualify on Apple’s support site. (Side note: If you’re in the UK or Japan, there are plans to support those two territories starting in mid-2025 — long after the Mobile App Bonus Goals quests have expired, though.)

If you are not suretried to install Fortnite (See the next section for information) is a way to quickly find out if you can play natively on your device.

If you Are on a suitable device and can install Fortnite native, then the process of achieving the Mobile App Bonus Goals is straightforward – you just need to collect XP. By earning a total of 100,000 XP, you will unlock the Tactical Kat Wrap, the Kat Claws Pickaxe, Katalina’s Kit Bag Back Bling, and finally the Katalina Outfit.

You can play Fortnite on iOS and Android by installing the Epic Games Store app (or the AltStore PAL marketplace if you want an alternative for iOS users in the EU).

To get started, visit fortnite.com/download in your mobile device browser. This will instantly tell you if your device can install any of the above marketplaces and Fortnite.

If you can installthen you will be guided through the various steps to get your marketplace where Fortnite which are also listed on Epic’s official blog. If this is a little awkward, Epic itself acknowledges this, pointing out that Apple and Google “intentionally provide inferior installation experiences laden with multiple steps, confusing device settings, and scare screens,” according to our report on the mobile store’s launch.

If you cannot complete the installationknow that you can still play Fortnite on a mobile device in any region via streaming, such as Xbox Cloud Gaming, NVIDIA GeForce NOW, Amazon Luna, or locally via PlayStation Remote Play when installed on your PS4 or PS5. Streaming gaming not will count towards the “Mobile App Bonus” goals – only “native” versions of the game installed on the device.

As mentioned above, if your intended target of the installation Fortnite on mobile, the goal is to complete the “Mobile App Bonus” objectives and get the Katalina skin. It will be sold to all players in time – so even if you don’t get it for free, you can get it eventually.
