How the Lake Mary All-Stars got to the Little League World Series

WILLIAMSPORT, Penn. – It was a close, high-scoring game Tuesday night until the Lake Mary All-Stars pulled off a stunning 6-1 victory.

Despite the team’s victory, Lake Mary’s journey began long before that, with training beginning in the winter.

The Lake Mary All-Stars have had a great journey in the Little League World Series so far. It all started in late July when the team won the Florida State Championship for the second year in a row.

They then defeated four teams and finally became champions of the Southeast Region on August 6th.

The team’s journey continued as it returned to Seminole County from Georgia the next day, where it was greeted with great cheers by its supporters.

Just hours after their return, the All-Stars left for Williamsport on August 8th.

The whirlwind continued with a parade on August 13, where tens of thousands of people cheered them on.

The very next day they made their debut in the Little League World Series, defeating the Midwest Region.

On August 16, they secured a 4-1 victory against the Northwest Champs from Washington.

However, they faced their strongest opponent yet and were defeated by the Southwest Champions from Texas on Monday.

The strong return of the Lake Mary boys will surely add momentum to their next game on Wednesday at 7 p.m., where people are expected to gather again at the local Friendly Confines.
