Attentive Harry Potter fans have pointed out a rather glaring mistake in a particularly iconic scene from the film series.

Despite the enormous budget, the crew behind the scenes of Harry Potter and 2002’s Chamber of Secrets couldn’t quite save one scene from a pretty blatant blunder.

To the web forum website RedditA number of wizarding fans have noticed something strange in a scene between Harry (Daniel Radcliffe) and Draco Malfoy (Tom Felton) as their magical duel turns into a more heated exchange.

After the first spells were cast, Harry was knocked to the ground by Draco’s shot before the wizarding prodigy came back with his own magical attack.

The mistake, which can no longer be overlooked today, occurred when Draco was thrown across the room. In the background, a member of the production team can be clearly seen alongside several other child actors.

Apparently, this hilarious faux pas did not spoil the magic for many fans and they laughed about the mistake on the internet forum.

“That’s not a cameraman. Just a student who failed ten times too many,” joked one fan, while another said, “I wonder if he knows he’s in the movie lol.”

“It’s something like this that often gets missed. This time I’d say it’s because he looks small and gets lost among the kids,” a third viewer shared.

Let us hope that the lessons have been learned, because the fans can expect a brand new Harry Potter seriesover a ten-year run with a completely new cast of actors.

In April, Max (formerly HBO Max) confirmed that a new live-action series would be a “faithful adaptation” of JK Rowling’s seven novels, with the author serving as executive producer to ensure the series remains “faithful to the original books.”

In a statement issued at the time of the announcement, Max said the decade-long series will be “produced with the same epic craftsmanship, love and care that this global franchise is known for.”

They continued: “The series will feature a new cast to lead a new generation of fans, full of the fantastic details, beloved characters and dramatic settings that Harry Potter fans have loved for over 25 years.”

It looks like the original Boy Who Lived won’t be making a cameo appearance at Hogwarts. Although he appeared in the franchise from 2001 to 2011, lead actor Radcliffe recently confessed that he’s leaving the wizarding world behind.

“I don’t think so,” said Radcliffe On-line on the question of the possibility of a miniature. “I think they’re wisely wanting a clean break. And I don’t know if it would work if we did something about it. I’m very happy just to watch along with everyone else.”

And when asked further about the matter, he dodged the question with the finesse of a seasoned politician, saying: “I will look at this as a politician and will not engage in hypotheses.”
