SYFY WIRE gives an exclusive insight into the project with an introductory video hosted by actress Evanna Lynch, who played the dreamy Ms. Lovegood in the hugely successful Harry potter film franchise (now streaming exclusively on Peacock). Lynch – serves as one of the most important Wizard Archive Voiceover alongside Hugh Quarshie, Finlay Robertson and Lara Sawalha. This is her second Potter-based collaboration with Audible following the company’s audio production of The Tales of Beedle the Bard.
“I think for anyone who wants to write fantasy or fiction, this archive is a real goldmine,” says the actress. “I’m working on a novel right now that, while not fantasy, still requires a lot of world-building… before you even start writing. Pottermore, which began in 2012, is a collection of supplementary materials that Rowling couldn’t include in her bestselling novels. It includes everything from backstories on characters and creatures to an examination of wizarding culture in other countries.
