Hallmark star Mamie Laverock returned home three months after falling from a fifth-floor hospital balcony and requiring ventilation.

The update was shared with fans on Laverock’s Facebook page. “Dreams come true,” the post read. “Welcome home Mamie.”

The post included a photo of a cake for Laverock and a sign that read “Home Sweet Home.”

“She is still badly injured but we will take care of her privately,” said one comment on the Facebook page. “She needed to be home. I am so happy for her. She made it this far… next chapter. It is a blessing to have her home.”

The “When the heart calls” According to a GoFundMe crowdfunding campaign launched in May, the actress was placed on life support after suffering an unspecified “medical emergency” weeks after falling from a balcony.

In an update on her GoFundMe page in June, her family wrote: “Her body is destroyed. She has had two 11-hour surgeries with two doctors, a three-hour surgery and another today. We are eternally grateful to the doctors and nurses who have provided her with exemplary care since May 26th.”

They added that Laverock “endured excruciating pain”.

“All we can do is hold on to the miracles of each day and continue to thank everyone for their prayers and marvel at the miracles of her story,” they shared online. “Our daughter loves her life and loves her family and fights hard every day.”

Laverock celebrated a milestone months after the fall. In a video shared on Facebook in early August, the actress was seen standing and walking.

“Thank you surgeon, thank you for your prayers, thank you Lord. Mamie just took her first steps,” the caption of the clip read.

Laverock had been in intensive care for two weeks before the fall and was “escorted from a secure area of ​​the hospital and led up to a balcony from which she fell five stories.”

“She has suffered life-threatening injuries, has undergone several extensive surgeries and is currently on a ventilator,” her parents Nicole and Rob Compton previously announced online.

Laverock played the role of nursing student Rosaleen Sullivan on the Hallmark Channel series “When Calls the Heart” for three seasons.

The television series caused controversy when the series’ star, Lori Loughlin, became embroiled in the college admissions scandal. Loughlin played Abigail Stanton for six seasons until she was written out of the series.

Loughlin served a two-month prison sentence at FCI Dublin in 2020.
