Halle Berry celebrates another trip around the sun.

The Oscar winner celebrated her 58th birthday on Wednesday, August 14, and marked the occasion with a selfie posted on her Instagram profile.

“At 58, I’ve learned that less is more!” Berry wrote in her caption, adding, “Thank you all for riding with me all these years! 💋”

“Happy birthday sister!!!! 🎊🎂🥳🥰🥰💋💋💋,” Taraji P. Henson wrote in a comment, while Viola Davis chimed in, “Happy birthday! Your talent, generosity, and strength of character are awe-inspiring! I love you sister❤️.”

Berry’s boyfriend since 2020, musician Van Hunt, also paid tribute to the birthday girl and shared her post in his Instagram stories on Wednesday.

Berry recently announced in an interview that she would spend her birthday focusing on women’s health. Additional TV during the premiere of her new film in Los Angeles The Union.

Speaking to the outlet on the red carpet, she said she plans to spend her big day advocating for a new bill to increase public awareness about menopause and provide healthcare providers with training and resources.

“I will be in West Virginia with Senator (Shelley) Capito lobbying for my menopause bill,” Berry said, referring to the Advancing Menopause Care and Mid-Life Women’s Health Act introduced last May.

“I can’t think of a better way to spend my birthday than to fight for all women,” she continued. “I can’t wait to get there.”

“About four years ago, I realized I was in perimenopause and I thought I would miss it,” she said Additional TV“That’s what I thought – I knew so little about it.”

“I realized that if I knew so little about it, millions of other women must not know either, because I pride myself on having the best doctors,” Berry continued. “I take my health seriously and I knew nothing, so that lit this fire in me to help myself, and as I help myself, I know I’m helping millions.”

She also noted that focusing on women’s health will be her “second act,” saying her main concern right now is, “How can I change the world for women and get us the healthcare we deserve during this really important time in our lives?”

“It has to change, and I say it will happen now,” Berry added.
