Google Doodle celebrates India’s Independence Day 2024 with architecture

Google Doodle Today, August 15, celebrates India’s Independence Day 2024 with an architecture-themed doodle. The doodle was illustrated by Vrinda Zaveri. It celebrates Independence Day in India.

Google describes Indian Independence Day as a celebration of liberation from tyrannical British rule and exploitation of India.

“After nearly two centuries of tyrannical rule under British colonial rulers and the East India Company, who exploited India for many of its assets, its citizens sought independence,” the Google post said.

Google honored prominent freedom fighters who fought for India’s independence.

“Remarkable Leaders The Indian people yearned for self-rule and sovereignty after nearly two centuries of inequality, violence and lack of basic rights. Led by prominent figures like Mahatma Gandhi, Jawaharlal Nehru and Subhas Chandra Bose, the Indian independence movement was made possible through civil disobedience. The perseverance and sacrifices of the country’s freedom fighters paid off,” it said.

Describing the celebrations for the day, Google said, “On Independence Day, many take part in flag hoisting ceremonies, parades, musical performances, community rallies and more to celebrate. Homes, buildings, streets and cars are decorated with the saffron, white and green national flag – as seen in today’s artwork. Millions of citizens also sing the Indian national anthem, Jana Gana Mana (जन गण मन), during the celebrations. Happy Independence Day, India!”

The theme of this year’s Independence Day is “Viksit Bharat” and is intended to symbolize the vision of a developed nation by the year 2047. The motto is intended to show the government’s commitment to transform the country into a developed nation by the year 2047, the 100th year of independence from colonial rule.

15 August is celebrated every year across the country and is a public holiday. Prime Minister Narendra Modi will address the nation from the Red Fort on the occasion. On this day, the nation will celebrate the historic achievements of the freedom fighters and pay respects to their sacrifices.
