The Democrats have just said goodbye to Joe Biden, the President of the United States. Many of us would say: Good to see him gone.

Biden has been asked to speak on the first night of the Democratic National Convention… and only the first night, a complete humiliation for the man who, a nanosecond ago, was running for a second term as president.

The theme of the first day was “Fighting for the Average American,” highlighting what Biden and Vice President Kamala Harris have done for the middle class. “For the Average American” might have been more appropriate.

Biden committed ‘impeachable conduct’ and ‘defrauded the United States to enrich his family’: House report

The Biden-Harris White House has hit the American middle class hard. Economist Steve Moore reports, based on Federal Reserve data, that “the average household has lost about $2,000 in purchasing power since Biden took office. People are poorer today than they were four years ago.”

At the same time, Americans have more credit card debt than ever before — nearly $400 billion since Biden took office — and delinquencies are on the rise. No one is borrowing money at interest rates above 20% unless they have to to make ends meet. That’s why people in lower income brackets and white people without college degrees consistently prefer former President Donald Trump over Biden and now Harris. They know their salaries won’t stretch as far.

The Democrats have run away from their former standard-bearer, and who could blame them? Biden is one of the most incompetent presidents in modern times and, according to Republicans in the House, one of the most corrupt.

Republican lawmakers have just released a multi-committee report on the Biden family’s influence scam, which they say warrants impeachment. Since Joe will not be running for re-election, they are unlikely to take action. Despite the web of shell companies, code names, mysterious payments to and from family members, the use of disposable cell phones and pseudonyms, and ample evidence that the “big man” was involved through meetings and phone calls with the top companies in China, Russia, Ukraine, and other corrupt countries, the political world will carry on.

The New York Times sets the tone in its report on the House report: “House Democrats impeach Biden without proof of crime.” Yet, as the report states: “In 2019, House Democrats argued that impeachment does not have to involve criminal conduct. The House can therefore impeach President Biden for non-criminal conduct that substantially harms the political system or abuses the public trust.”

Disheartening for Republicans, Biden is unlikely to pay a price for his frequent lies and denials about his involvement in his son Hunter Biden’s efforts to profit from the Biden brand. Like Hillary Clinton, who illegally deleted her communications and is accused by some of unethically profiting from donations to the Clinton Foundation, Biden will wade into the Democratic miasma as a wise influencer and get away unscathed.

To salvage their own reputations, Democratic leaders have praised Biden as a brilliant and history-making president who dropped out of the race for re-election for reasons that remain unclear – on a whim. After all, it was the same party officials who paved the way for him to run for a second time by advantageously changing the primaries’ schedule and discouraging others from participating. It was Democrats who uniformly declared him viable, even as voters grew increasingly skeptical.

Former Democratic House Speaker Nancy Pelosi, the lifelong “friend” who apparently ousted him from office, recently told CBS reporter Lesley Stahl, “He was in a good position to make any decision – at his best.” At his best, even if he often struggled to finish a sentence and was visibly in decline. Pelosi absurdly suggested that he was “such a great president” that his face should be carved on Mount Rushmore. Even Democratic stooge Stahl found the idea baffling.

Biden and Harris have greedily gobbled up trillions of taxpayer dollars to spend on their donors’ pet projects, effectively causing the inflation that Harris is now promising to fix, while the White House has wasted hundreds of billions of taxpayer dollars that could have been spent on ill-conceived climate and infrastructure projects.

Biden has been asked to speak on the first night of the Democratic National Convention… and only the first night, a complete humiliation for the man who, a nanosecond ago, was running for a second term as president.

The liberal Financial Times recently wrote a front-page exposé headlined “Biden’s $400 billion effort to boost green economy and technology plagued by delays,” saying that 40 percent of the biggest investments announced so far had been postponed indefinitely or “paused,” dealing a blow to Biden’s “manufacturing revival.”

These projects, such as a solar plant in Oklahoma and a battery storage facility in Arizona, have received federal funding but are not moving forward. Some of the delays have not been announced, according to the FT, probably to avoid bad publicity while Harris commits to more such waste of money. These are the fruits of the Inflation Reduction Act and the Chips Act.

To date, neither Biden nor Harris have taken responsibility for the excessive spending that even liberal economists warned would cause price inflation. Worse, Harris began her campaign by pushing even more spending programs that she believes will slow rising prices. Harris wants to pump billions into the housing market to alleviate the housing shortage; her program has been widely (and rightly) criticized. She has learned from the master how to ingratiate herself with taxpayer money.

Biden, who promised to unite the country, has now left our nation more divided than ever. While he promised to govern with moderation, he swung far to the left to win over the supporters of independent Senator Bernie Sanders of Vermont. He also promised transparency but delivered one of the most opaque administrations in history. Finally, he tried to throw his political opponent in jail while claiming to defend democracy.

This is Joe Biden’s legacy: dishonesty, inflation, corruption and incompetence. And that’s a good thing.
