‘Good Morning Football’ crew freaks out after Manti Te’o jokes about Googling himself

Manti Te’o made his Good morning, football debut this week. On Friday, the former NFL linebacker debated Kyle Brandt in a spirited game of Notre Dame Football Trivial. Te’o, of course, was one of the best defensive players in Fighting Irish history and a finalist for the 2012 Heisman Trophy. Brandt, again traveling from the road, put up a good fight but ultimately lost.

The key question was how many tackles Te’o had during his time at Notre Dame. Brandt had no idea, but estimated 323. Te’o also had to guess because, he admitted, he hadn’t Googled himself in over a decade, “for obvious reasons.”

Everyone has lost it.

Te’o recently joined the NFL Network. It is unclear how often he will be seen Good morning footballl, but he certainly brings a good vibe to the set. He’s a bit rough when it comes to exploring the studio – Erdahl had to reprimand him for turning his back to the camera during the segment – but his enthusiasm seems to be clearly in keeping with that of GMFB.
