Global news media launch “Choose the Truth” campaign for World News Day.

This year the co-organizers are Canadian Journalism Foundation (CJF) and that World Editors Forumthe network for editors within the World Association of News Publishers (WAN-IFRA) have joined forces with Daily Maverick to unveil an impactful 2024 campaign that news organizations can share with their audiences in the days leading up to September 28.

Choose the truth is the first campaign of Project Continuum, an initiative launched by Daily Maverick to affirm the positive role of news media in the global community. Choose Truth is the blueprint for future collaborations.

News organizations signing up to support now World News Day 2024 will receive a collection of resources, including videos, digital and print ads, social media material and commentary, which they are permitted to publish and share. The material will be available in a range of languages.
