Glen Powell has prevented comparisons between himself and his leading actor colleague Ryan Gosling.
Earlier this week, The Wrap published quotes from an anonymous Hollywood producer who described Glen as “an up-and-coming film star in the sense that audiences today go to the cinema to see him.”
“Unlike an actor like Ryan Gosling, whose appeal is primarily limited to female audiences, Glen appeals to both women and men,” added the unnamed producer.
When the quotes made the rounds, Glen quickly dismissed the comparisons to X.
““Gosling is a legend,” he insisted of the Barbie star, then joked, “I’m just Glen.”
After smaller breakthrough roles in blockbusters such as Top Shooter: Maverick And Unrecognized heroesIt’s safe to say that Glen is definitely having a big moment at the moment.
In recent years, he has starred in films such as Netflix’s Hit Man and the successful romantic comedy Anyone But You.
He was also on a promotional tour for the action film “Twisters,” in which he can be seen on screen alongside Daisy Edgar-Jones and Anthony Ramos in the popular sequel to the 1996 disaster film.
What makes the Hollywood newcomer even more attractive is the fact that he secretly features his parents in cameo appearances in almost all of his films – you just have to know where to look.
Glen will next be seen in action in the comedy series “Chad Powers,” as well as the upcoming thriller “Huntington” and the new Stephen King adaptation “Running Man.”
