In a recent developer blog, HoYoverse gave insight into the most important changes that players can expect. The most important updates include the introduction of a new world level 9.

Here’s everything you need to know about the new World Level 9 update in Genshin Impact
In Genshin Impact, world level is a crucial game mechanic that determines both the difficulty of enemies and the quality of rewards.
As the world level increases, the enemies become more challenging. The loot from chests, bosses and domains also becomes more valuable.
According to the developers, the levels of normal enemies, elite enemies and bosses will be increased by about 10 levels when the new world level is reached.
In return, the rewards are greatly improved, and bosses at this level are guaranteed to drop at least three materials for character leveling up.
To advance to the new world level, travelers must reach Adventure Rank 58.
Previously, the world level in the game was capped at 8, which players could reach by reaching Adventure Rank 55 and completing Ascension Quest 4.
