Garden City experiences heavy rains, cooler temperatures expected

Bengaluru: The city, where the sunrise occurred at 06:08 am, has been experiencing warm weather with extreme humidity for the past few days. However, the India Meteorological Department (IMD) said the city is likely to experience heavy rains on Wednesday with the possibility of lightning and thunderstorms. Heavy rains are forecast in the coastal areas.

According to IMD, the minimum and maximum temperatures are expected to range between 21 and 28 degrees Celsius. The mercury levels are expected to drop due to rainfall and citizens can look forward to glorious weather. Humidity is expected to be 81%. Wind is expected to blow steadily from the southwest at a speed of 11 kmph. The total rainfall is expected to be between 7.8 mm and 11.0 mm.

According to the local weather report, moderate to heavy rains are expected in north Karnataka and the sky will remain cloudy throughout the day. A yellow warning has been issued for the coastal and mountainous regions. No rain warning has been issued for south Karnataka.

KSNDMC has published a weather report for X

The Karnataka State Natural Disaster Monitoring Centre (KSNDMC) released a weather report on X and noted, “#Rain#Forecast and #Warnings for next 5 days: (Source: IMD) Isolated to moderate rains over southern interior districts of the state today, later the intensity of rain is likely to decrease. Isolated to moderate rainfall and moderate rainfall over coastal and adjoining hill districts.”

Isolated heavy rains are expected in coastal areas on 24 August, and isolated to moderate rains are expected in northern districts on 25 August.
